These paintings are created by using a fly rod as a means of applying the paint. During the winter months the trout are painted with a regular paint brush and layered in resin in a number of different layers. Fly fishing culture is at the center of the artwork on the streams that make the world snap their head up and come out to Montana to have amazing experiences on waters that harbor some of the most world renowned fly fishing lore in the western hemisphere. By the means of painting with a fly rod it is the same movements that Montana is known for and the experience of the river can now be evident within the homes that grace the Rocky Mountain landscape. A river is nothing more than a moving palette of color that a fly rod is capable of capturing. Every body of water is different and when taking in the paintings be conscious of standing on the river’s edge and being taken to that place.
