Sauk River Falls (Fly Cast Painting)

The paint hadn’t finished drying yet when I called to resign from my job…

While on the phone with my older brother (Sam) it dawned on me that a painting could be created using a fly rod with paint being applied to the end of the line. How does this tie into fly fishing? It centers around the rivers. Rivers are nothing more than a moving palette of color. Fly fisherman experience the rivers with that methodical rhythm of their casting motion and subliminal, hypnotic state of the crashing sounds of water making their way to their respective oceans or the light riffles that laugh in the shallows. A river can change in the blink of an eye that determines how the water’s are fished or where the art comes in, in what manner will this phenomena be created. I moved to Bozeman Montana (The Fly Fishing Capital) to bring this idea into the world and determine its value in the short time we have.
