Thunder Boomers were rolling over the Bitterroots and rains began to fall as this painting was winding down. One of the disadvantages to a flycast painting is making it work in the rain. A cover would be mandatory but a subtle part of a fly cast is to have the work be a part of either the wind or the rain to a certain extent. This Big Hole River Painting was a race against time and rolling the dice on this dark day. Ask to see the footage of the fly cast being created and brooding nature of the day.
