This is the style and string that will be pulled for the paintings going forward. These trout sit on top of a Madison River Fly Cast Painting with the lower trout about to seize a stonefly and the trout on top is about to take a stonefly off the top of the water. The double pane is set above the painting with an uneven poured surface to create refraction on the bottom over the top of the fly cast and the trout. A strong light is recommended yet not direct sunlight as that is hard on everything. The underlying concept for the composition is for the viewers eye’s to move around the trout and the flies and come up to the surface to take in the fly on the top layer and then plunge back into the different layers of painting. The grand concept of the piece is to have the viewing of this work be an experience to look through and imagine being on the river taking in this scene.
